Welcome
We are excited to share our special day with you. We have created this website to keep everyone
updated with the information that will be useful for you while we plan our wedding.
If you are an out-of-town guest, please feel free to contact us with any questions on your visit to
Whidbey Island for the wedding weekend. We want to make sure that you enjoy your trip.
We look forward to seeing you on September 1st.
Love,
Amanda and John
Amanda grew up in the Seattle area, graduated from the Art Institute of Seattle, and works full-time as a graphic designer.
She loves hanging out with friends and getting happy hour just as much as she loves spending quiet evenings at home, baking,
relaxing and playing with our cats.
John has lived all over the Pacific Northwest: Portland, Astoria, Oak Harbor and Seattle, and graduated from the Art Institute of
Seattle. He now works at the Microsoft campus in Redmond. He has many hobbies, including
photography, skateboarding, playing games and watching movies.
On the first day of summer at Seattle's Volunteer Park, John surprised Amanda with a picnic with food from one of our favorite restaurants and 100 red roses, then got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. She said yes!
We are getting married on Saturday, September 1st, 2012 at Jenne Farm on beautiful Whidbey Island. The 100-year-old homestead overlooks the breathtaking Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve.
We are grateful for our countless friends and family who are helping us make this wedding a possibility, and we would like to give a special thanks to our wedding party.

Whidbey Island is accessible from the south by the Mukilteo/Clinton ferry, from the north by the Deception Pass bridge, and from the west by the Keystone/Port Townsend ferry (Olympic Peninsula). Either way, Coupeville is about 2 hours from Seattle. Allow ample waiting time for the ferry, especially since it will be Labor Day weekend. Click to see schedule.
We'll be outside in the grass so stiletto heels are not recommended (wedges are a good alternative). We're hoping for sun, but the weather in the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable. Bring layers as it could be windy and/or cold at night.
Oak Harbor is a 20-min drive to the north where you'll find hotels including Best Western,
Candlewood Suites and
the Coachman Inn.
We've blocked off rooms for guests at the Best Western Oak Harbor at discounted rates. To make your reservation, call Best Western directly at (360) 675-2543 and mention you'll be there for the Buzard/Berner wedding.
To support us on our special day, you may wish to follow with tradition and bring a gift. For this reason, we have registered at Macy's and Crate & Barrel.
RSVP early to help us estimate the number of guests we'll have at the wedding. We'll still be sending out formal invitations by mail.
